Martijn Motmans

Cloud Engineer | AWS Certified | Python Developer

After several years as a nurse, I made a deliberate transition into cloud engineering — bringing a sharp eye for detail, ownership, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

I design and deploy cloud infrastructure on AWS, with hands-on experience in EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation. I built and deployed a full-stack application in a production-like AWS environment, implementing auto scaling, load balancing, and infrastructure as code from scratch.

My focus is on cloud infrastructure, automation, and building systems that are scalable and reliable. I work with Python and am expanding my skills in Terraform, CI/CD, and containerization.

What makes me different is a background that taught me to manage complexity, take responsibility, and think critically — skills that translate directly into building robust cloud solutions.

Outside of tech, I recharge by being in nature and trekking, practicing yoga, and pursuing my dream of creating a permaculture farm. These passions keep me grounded and inspire balance in how I work and live.
